While the Kiwis in New Zealand insist they speak English, there are times I beg to differ with them. I have begun to jot down a few words, and would like to share them with you.
Tog- a swimming suit
Morning Tea- snack
Rubber- an eraser
Wheely Bin- garbage can
Rubbish- garbage
Boot- the trunk of the car
While I am talking about words, I will also discuss pronunciation...
We say garage... they say garriage (carriage with a "g")
I am sure there will be more to follow on this subject!
